first one is the 105mm for the germans, if I remember[old man syndrome here] the picture used is for the 150mm k18 I think.
second one using Paul Husser for the Komender. He is worthy of the tittle thou!

Thats it for now.:D :D

The 105er:

It comes in two versions, the howitzer and the cannon. I think you refer to the cannon, the 105mm K18 - the pic is correct for the described gun...there was a 150mm cannon, but it was very rare...the 105mm cannon in the OOB made about 15-20% of the German standard 105mm arty produced and was the typical counterfire weapon in German arty regiments.

Yeah, Paul Hausser as the Kommandeur is more an accident
To be honest, I didn't even know the pic showed him until the last version was out...I just needed a pic of an officer who was talking to some lower ranked officers...one needs pretty good eyes to identify his true rank from the pic, it's even tough to identify him as a SS officer... so I think you're one of the few who ever noticed :D

Ok, these will be the last ones I post, other wise I would be bad mouthing a great spwaw system!
The Marder II shown is the rechambered 76mm version not the 75mm used. I know this is probley being nitpickin.
:D
Marder IIIH shown is the sdkfz 139[76mm recham] and should be the sdkfz 138 with the gun in the middle.
The Pzjg-35R[f]= what is shown is the T26 conversion with the french 75mm 1897 pak 97. not the 45mm used.

That is it. :D

Hmm, i seem to be missing something here. If H2H is so good, then why keep a second version of Spwaw? I asume its because of the number of senarios/campaigns or somthing, but im proberbly wrong.

I would call it more refined/tweaked. Besides, with 2 versions you have more players to game with as some prefer one version over the other for whatever reason.

More selection of scenarios and I have 60 gigs that needs something in there! LOL

Actually, it is a great change of pace; different sights, sounds, and feel to it.

Wel my HD's are only 6 and 7 Gigs each, i have maybe 2-3 gigs left on each so i dont really have the luxury of having both on. I do have Spwaw .exe and Zip on disk so i could proberbly upgrade to H2H and then reinstall if i needed to.

I dont play games on the net yet, havnt really got the time.

Got me there :D

The **** Marder series always caused me headaches :(
My Marder III(h) is actually a PzJg 38 and also often called Marder III (but not the "h" version) and so on...but I'm sure not too many will notice it, so pssssht !!! ;)

But keep up going through the pics - I have a set of changed pics anyway on my drive and these corrections are easy, as they don't screw up the OOBs or version...

...and if you have a pic of a PzJg-35R(f), please give it to me...it's missing in my collection :D

[quote]The best thing is to make a second install (do not copy your existing game into a different folder, but make a fresh new install)
Can I ask why not?I copied my 7.1 ver. and renamed it sp-waw and copied over the original and and don't seem to have a problem.I also deleted the all the scen. and oob's

Oh, sorry !

I was so thrilled as the campaign was released, that I downloaded it and started converting right away...I'm currently at battle #5 :D

The bad thing about working on the campaign is, that it takes away some surprises when you want to play it :(

I don't think I need anything special to convert it...a general look at all scenarios (28 if I recall right) showed no exceptional problems...so I should be fine with just a bit time to get it all done...

...ahhh wait...one question:
Due to some heavy OOB differences I'm not able to identify the type of the German "outposts" without installing 7.1 OOBs (I think in #4 or #5 they appeared as AUX right infront of a Russian onslaught)...what are they - infantry or fortifications ? Would make a big difference :D

Great campaign and an excellent job, guys !!!

For all H2H players: it will not take that long to convert the campaign, probably one or two weeks...so stay tuned

Check out some posts before, where we talk of the most common installation errors...sounds like the classic extraction into wrong folder problem ("MatrixGames" and "Matrix Games")...

If you still got problems, contact me...you would be the first to not get it running ;)

Somewhere in the forum there is a post that tech how to save hd space with a second installation of SPWAW convertet to H2H.
For istance you can del a lot of file that are not needed in a second installation (manual, all the scenario and campaign, chland tools directory...)
IIRC my H2H install take about 200 mb and they all worth the space they take!

Just putting some ideas out there. A lot depends on the availabilitiy of a good maps and historical OOB data. I have an excellent map of France North of Paris that would fit 1940 and 1944 campaigns. I have never researched any North Africa stuff but I am sure it is out there.
Have you voiced your opinion in the poll on the new website?
