Inspired by "Lost Victories"

Having re-read Manstein (I got two of him in a campaign game, so why not?), I was seized on my birthday with the desire to see how far I could go in two weeks. I took Daugavpils on turn one with the 56th (naturally), and on turn two the 56th took Pskov.

It is a full campaign, settings normal - I fully expect this push to be cut off and/or slowed, but I was impressed enough to brag a little bit here - a birthday present to myself [:)]

Congrats on your victory! I too wouldn't be surprised if you weren't cut off but you just may be lucky given the state of the Soviets at this time. If your infantry can show up soon you can probably hold on.

Now the question would be do you do what v Manstein wanted to do and that is keep going to Leningrad while the defenses are still very weak?

In game terms, considering how mech/armored is working against cities right now, I don't know that it is a good idea and it would represent a huge gamble, but supply wise, if you can get a port up there, you should be able to be supplied.
