Colour of port symbols (anchors)

Post by Dancing Bear »

Hi all
I notice that some ports are represented by anchors on green circles and some by anchors on yellow circles. Does anyone know if the different colours mean anything?
Are there limitations on the number of skips that can be built in a particular port?

Also, what triggers the "Can't build anymore sips in this area" message? Is there a limit of 10 (or maybe 5) ships that can be constructed in greee ports, and 15 in yellow ports? i.e. if there are already more than 5 ships under construction in a green port, you can not build any more there?

The colors are symbolic to the port's size. This is per EiHv3.0 naval build rules. I cannot remember the limits but we stuck to the EiH 3.0 guideline

Does anyone have these rules and know these ship building limits. They should likely be put in the rule book/manual.

I note EiHv4 rule 8.5.4.2 for harbor build limits and an associated chart for different build capacities. No mention of different port colors, and the v5 map I have does not show different colors? I don't have the older v3 material. I agree with DB that whatever is in EiANW should be better documented in the next update.

I've looked into this and we compromised the build limits based on three different port sizes (S,M,L). The limits were set to 5, 10 and 15 respectively BUT this was not EiH3.0 (Each port had its own limit) nor EiA so it looks like we are eliminating it!
