idea to make single-player harder

The Seven Years’ War was fought across the globe and called by some the first “World War” as virtually every major power participated. In the center of events was Prussia, almost constantly at war and lead by the now legendary Frederick the Great.

Relive the exciting and trying days of Frederick the Great in Horse and Musket: Volume I, the improved and expanded combination of the previous Prussian War Machine and Prussia’s Glory titles. Horse and Musket: Volume I is a reboot of the successful Horse and Musket series, including not only two solid historical titles in one package, but also many new game features, a powerful new editor, and a complete graphics overhaul to an already acclaimed gaming system.

idea to make single-player harder

Post by Javolenus »

Hi There,

I had an idea to make single-player more of a challenge. Perhpas there could be a feature that randomly removes unit/units from human player's OOB? Or maybe unit/units arrive later as reinforcements (again, randomly). I realise that players can edit the game files to achieve similar result, but if there was a built-in randomization feature, it might be more fun/challenging?

Well, this is not a big idea - I just mention it because it was on my mind.

It must be obvious that I am playing this game more as a tactical simulation game, rather than a historical re-enactment game.

Hi PrinzHenrich - OK, I give it a try! Can I ask: did you create the 'Borne Calamity' scenario? I ask because I like the OOB for this scenario and would like to use it in a custom scenario.
