The size is the tonnage divided by 1,000
You have it backwards.
Repair Yard capacity is the Shipyard size, times 1000.
A Repair Yard can have more total tonnage assigned to it than it's rating, but can't have a single ship larger than it's rating.
Example - A size 50 Repair Yard has a rating of 50,000 tons; it can have more than this assigned, but can not service a single ship larger than 50,000 tons.

Dear Cap'n. Der Britisher is pulling ze fast one on you. "Capital" as in capital letter in Australia=A. "Capitol" as in seat of government = some other city probably having a 'woomba' or 'oomba' or 'kooka' or 'berra' sound in it somewhere. Probably choc-a-bloc full of poisonous spiders too.ORIGINAL: Cap Mandrake

A?
Alice Springs? That doesn't sound right but I could be wrong.
ETA: I meant venemous spiders.

I suppose it wouldn't do at this point to pretend I meant "capital" as in means of production?

[font="Courier New"] My Dear Admiral of the Fleet Mandrake, CIC Pacific Ocean Areas, Canada West of Great Slave Lake, Easter Is., Panama and La Tortuga,
Thank you for your latest missive. There appears to have been a misunterstanding about what constitutes a "mobile CD unit". After consulting mater and pater it would seem you meant a coastal defence unit, not what Captian Binns MC orignally had anotated. Yes, that is the erstwhile Lt Binns Minor last seen deflating JJ's bicycle tyres in Malaya.
There is still an overland route from Daly Waters to Wyndham, if we can get 32ID down that route unobserved then we might be able to take and hold Wyndham. We do appear to have some base orces at Tennant Creek that could go too to allow us to base fighters there. I am quite happy for JJ to stay put at Katherine rather than trying to entice him furtehr south and cut off this route.
The East African Brigade will start embarkation tomorrow and we are sending transports to Aden to bring 2nd UK Div to Perth. The R class battleships at Ceylon will also start moving down to provide bombardment support.
Yours
Admiral Lord, etc, etc.

Hey lets get this clear its only you yanks with your weird sense of spelling that spell Capitol as in Capitol. We who know how to spell proper have always had Capital cities. as the Aussies used to - and at this time probably still were semi part of our Empire they had a Capital city.
Grrr colonials! I imagine you lot will start spelling things with z instead of s like we do!

AFAIK, all orcs* are base... didn't know they were aircraft mechanics as well.
(*i am allowing for the funky "Englisher" spelling seen here in your original message.)
RE: Bernard Law
But you didnt allow for the wine with dinner and the distraction of the Bears game on TV.
As for orcs being aircraft mechanics I refer you to Dixie.

mobile CD units in Australia
We're not doing a remake of "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert". Are we?
Lord Admiral Sprior: I believe the references to "CD" that you quoted alluded to "Coastal Defense", not "Cross Dresser" units.
ETA: However, if you can find a subject that can shoot ping pong balls out of unexpected orifices, perhaps you'll find a terrific distraction for JJ and friends.
I can see it now: A skirmish line of ping-pong ball firing bar ho's assaulting the Japanese lines en masse, whilest a brigade or two or your lads slipped around the flank and gives the WJDs the what for.
ETA II: I'd better go and take my medication for the day.
If nothing else, it would certainly qualify as a "demonstration". [:D]
