Insta Lose Vanilla DW Bug?

Hi guys,

Just bought the game a few days ago & started my 3rd, and then 4th game today.

The third game i started stopped about 10 seconds in with the humans winning a 33% colony victory. Weird, I thought, and I just assumed it to be an isolated bug until my next game also ended about 10 seconds after game start...

Have put a save game file "huge-start-game-bug.dwg" (maybe a bit melodramatic) in your ftp. Not running any mods and am using 33% colony victory conditions.

-- i just started another game just for "fun" and it also ended about 20 seconds later with a race winning a population victory (i have that set at 44%)...

edit: i should also mention i'm playing a 400 star map with 7 autogenerated AI opponents.

Bump up your values to 75% or higher.

You should set "victory conditions apply after X years" quite high. Too low settings tend to end games way too fast.
I play 60-100 year games and set "victory con. apply" to half of the duration of my game.
Also, colony victory isn't my favourite victory condition. It just encourages colony rush and makes the game kinda stupid. It's far more interesting when you can compete even as tiny empire with few planets.
My personal victory conditions are 35-40% on both population and economy.
Nothing is impossible, not if you can imagine it!

if you've just began to play you can consider a sandbox game to make sure nothing stops you in the middle of the fun
...Igniting stellar cores....Recharging reactors...Recalibrating hyperdrives....
