Mulitplayer Problem Update

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Mulitplayer Problem Update

Post by Joel Billings »

This morning there were reports from players that they could not access their Multiplayer games. When they logged onto the server all they would see under My Games is the text: Axis - Sov -

We've discovered why this has happened and are working to correct it. Slitherine altered the information their server sends out and our game is reading it as an error. There is a fix that we can make at our end, but since we're in the middle of testing other changes for the next beta patch, I can't say how fast we can put up a beta patch and how fast we can put up an official patch. We are waiting to hear from Slitherine if they can roll back the way there server is working in the case of War in the East so that it only sends the info it used to send. Unfortunately the critical person may be unavailable until tomorrow.

So for the moment Multiplayer games are on hold. We're sorry for the inconvenience and will work hard at getting this resolved ASAP.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Thanks for the update. I suppose I can kill time by continuing my Fallout: New Vegas game. However, I was really looking forward to the 4 active turns I have waiting for me...

We have attempted a hotfix, can people check and see whether the problem persists now?

Cheers
