a Romanian surrender

Post by randallw »

They gave up, in July 1943. I was aware it could happen but it came kind of easy. I crossed the border and a few turns later it happens.

There's no direct message in the logistics page; just a mention of some Romanian divisions surrendering or being isolated.

Isolated? Well, they're isolated in terms of not being able to draw from my supply....since they are now part of my army.

Their units ( all, not specifically isolated ) are spotty across the map; a few in a semi circle around Budapest, one division that was in Constanza, which I evacuated to a friendly port ( it was surrounded by Germans ), a few units close to the front lines which i've assigned to Army HQs, and two deep in the marshes.

I've mentioned this before as another symptom of the general lack of chrome. There's no fuss when an Axis minor surrenders; you find out by accident, as you note. It's not a huge deal, but it's a shame :).
