Der Ost Front Problem.

Hey guys,

New to this forum, but I hope to stick around! [:D]

But I got a problem with Der Ost Front.

My Grand Campaign will last for at most 6 operations before it craps out on me, which is a terrible shame because I'm really enjoying this mod.

So, the thing is this popped up after I quit the game and went back to it in the saved game folder, I clicked on it and this popped up.

First time that happened, so I figured, oh hell. I'll just start anew!

But upon trying again I had just finished refilling my roster with fresh troops and decided to check the briefing when I did it did the same thing.

It forces Close Combat to shut down, so I went back and tried to click on the saved game to pick up where I had been forced to leave off.

And voila, same thing.

If anybody can help it'd be greatly appreciated!

This is the second message that popped up before close combat shut down.

It is saying you are missing a map called chateau

unzip it to your \maps folder

Download the attachment and unzip to


C:\program files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Games\Save\~~Save Game Fix

If that works for you then you can delete

C:\program files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Games\Save\~0WF-Save-Don't Delete

As it looks like it may be corrupt.
