Not quite. Sian is already in the red. When the WJD arrive they will stop the production of the raw materials. I doubt you will be able to import 100% of the necessary raw materials to fully feed your industry, so the medium term supply prognosis at Sian is not good. Wider out there will be a squeeze on fuel exports to feed the Heavy Industry of Chungking and Changsha.

Without adequate supply at Sian not only will the adjusted assault value of the Chinese infantry be drastically reduced (ultimately down to only 25% if totally out of supply), but recovery of disabled squads will be quite difficult. You should start looking around to see what transport aircraft you might have available to air drop supply into Sian. There is one Chinese transport squadron plus Tenth US Air force receives several transport squadrons during the course of 1942.

USS Puget Sound= AD-38 Co-Ed Destroyer Tender and basic all around good stop. You can imagine the names she and her crew where called. Was in port with her in Italy...i remember little of the 4 days there, but i was told we had fun. Though Naples wasnt the best place for liberty in the Med, it was better when the crazies from Puget where in.

Fiji: More Oscar and Zero sweeps (61 sorties) over Nadi which are uncontested. Then the Sallys came in (19), knocked down a clothes line and put 7 holes in the runway that were quickly repaired. The Sallys from Tanna just can't do the job. The B-26 raids from Suva on the Japs at Nadi are finally starting to do some good. 1,100 Jap KIA's at Suva today. Jap strength there is about 8K now.

The Jap carrier(s) move 280 Mi W of Nadi but are carefully staying out of F4F/P-39 escort range. Admiral Nimitz will have to cool his jets. I turned around the convoy containing SouPac HQ. Too dangerous with the carriers there.

Oz: The WJD moved the bombers out of Wyndham and moved in extra fighters (100). Clearly, they are expecting something. No attack today, as there are still 2 more 17-E's that need their distributor caps changed. Let the Japs put up a high CAP and wear themselves out for a few days. 2 Bn/9th Armoured (with 5 Stuarts/5 Grants and some Bren carriers) is approaching Nookanah (or something like that). No free lunch...there are WJD's there. Interestingly, Darwin has no bombers either. Tennant creek should be level 2 airfield within a week, allowing the mediums to get into the fight.
