[:D]Yeh sure, maybe for you[&o].

I got to go to work early and my opponent is on the west coast so i am getting the turns late in the evening.

Anyway we had another turn (24) of snow and the German player pulled back from some positions I don't think he should have, and I have moved up my reserve armies close to the front where I want to attack. I am holding the turn so I can post full screen shots tomorrow when I get home and show you the coiled spring that is the red army I have 489 infantry divisions with over 4 million men, and over 4000 AFV's although alot of older ones. He needed to do alot more damage to me in the summer I think but if the game plays right he should hold up better because he dug in. We shall see.

Anyway off to bed.

That Rumanian cavalry division seems to be on it's lonesome for a 40-60 mile wide gap.  That's an area to look at.

Overall my buildup for this offensive and the organization seemed ok, considering i was hardly attacked for a full month so I could pretty much prepare in peace knowing I was going to be safe from spoiling attacks. Think that was a mistake by my opponent. He could have dug in while making my front line units bleed and retreat. Just my opinino though[8|].
I am doing these as I go so they will take a while to post.
Leningrad front. Am not trying to break thru here, due to the terrain, but if I do that's OK too.

Volkhov Front, added an army to this HQ to try and advance behind Germans at Leningrad. If nothing else it will make him pull units back to cover this front.

Your opponent hasn't waged an air war as good as other people; 2300 Axis planes lost near the end of 1941? That's not good.

My general advice would be to attack in overwhelming numbers; get 3 hexes worth of units onto 1 hex.  You also want to bypass Axis in swamps/roughs until you can surround them, or force your opponent to move them back to avoid being surrounded.  Not sure if the blizzard allows or eliminates the D bonus.

Southwest and part of southern front. Have some reserve here ans will try and take Kharkov by surrounding it. Notice the stronger German units strengths here.

Players have really taken to heart the idea of preserving panzers during the blizzard; it is the worst problem for the Soviet player because this is the best time to knock them off the battlefield, if even by disabling them.   Killing them in the spring/summer will be much harder.

When the Panzers come back in good shape for a possible spring offensive, it appears they have just scraps of infantry left. Seems like a tough decision to make. Against the AI it's a bit easier, panzers winter in Moscow environs, Stalin environs and Leningrad and can generally respond via the "reserve" function. In PBEM the German players haven't achieved that level if winter quarters, hehe.
