taking that base won´t be a problem tomorrow... Allied units are ordered to shock attack...
now the most interesting part of this turn: KB showed up 8 hexes North of the invasion beaches but didn´t launch a single strike on my invasion or my carrier fleet parking 45 miles to the West... we have set our Helldivers to nav search 8 hexes and spotted KB probably two dozen times today and despite set to react, my carrier fleet again was frozen in place... [8|] plenty of op points but nothing... all that happened was the usual massacre of aircraft on naval search (this should be looked at at some point too)... Rainer again positioned KB in perfect range to the invasion site as he stays one hex outside the range of my carrier strikes while being in range of his bombers... there wasn´t a single enemy ac shot down over my carriers which alerted me and after asking Rainer he confirmed my concern that he aimed at my invasion fleet which is exactly what I would like to avoid... he´s aware about the fact that losing halve or more of my precious APA would be a bigger loss than having some of my carriers sunk, therefore he wanted to keep the detection level of my carriers as low as possible (in fact it was non existent) while the invasion convoys are spotted by default when they land troops... very well planned and executed, the only problem seems to have been weather... it would have been quite interesting though how the two dozen CVE would have performed in covering the invasion, much would have also depended on how much Cap from my fleet carriers would have leaked East...
Rainer knows how I perform my invasions so I´m quite predictable here, but I preferre being predictable and have all my forces as close by instead of sending my fleet carriers with a big hurrey in a direction I expect KB to show up, just to find out I was wrong and KB comes from a different direction taking on my invasion fleet...
while I first have been a bit upset about my carrier fleet not reacting, thinking about it a moment later I´m glad they didn´t because even if I feel my force being superior (clearly superior), the best fight still is the fight you avoid while still achieving what you want to achieve, which means gaining ground... and my forces are constantly growing while the Japanese probably already reached their high peak in carriers and everytime they move around they run the danger of being attacked by my subs...
