Well, there is a lot flying around here. I think that you and PH should just post the offending email to the moderator and let them take appropriate actions. There is so much disruption and speculation going on about this that it should be stopped. I understand your anger and would be angry myself but this should not be argued out in the forum. You need to pass this on to a third party for fair resolution. We have some pretty good mods here and that is what they are here for. Just a suggestion..

Oh, sorry. I just read your full post. Or do what you wanted and just let it go and move on.

Nemo,

Very giving of you to forgive that way.

It's tough enough when someone unintentionally breaches FOW with postings which can be read between the lines. The intentional nonsense is way over the line. He could have issued a warning about his concerns without any operational specifics so you and PH could have discussed the matter.

You might consider the service to the forum of re-posting the forum username of the individual as many of us have private AAR's running.

BTW, if you favor a private AAR, as I do, you might consider coordinating with PH to just Green Button the individual in question so he can neither post nor PM to either one of you and thereby breach opsec.

There's no point passing it on to a third party.... Particularly as this would just be "the system" doing what the system does and ganging up on this individual, in his eyes. Also I doubt breaching FOW is a kickable offence.

No, I think I see it as not being due to malice but due to other issues now. I can't be angry with someone who didn't have a choice in how they saw it and didn't have malice in what they did.

Was it me? If so I apologise. The FBI put ideas into my head and make me do crazy things. Then they wipe my memory.

witpqs,

Well PH told me his name but asked me not to post it. I was sorely tempted to post it anyway but:
a) I have to respect PH's confidence and

b) I want to give this person the benefit of the doubt in terms of giving them time and space to re-examine their beliefs

c) if he were one of my patients I know that posting his name would be exactly what he'd expect and, in the long run, the satisfaction I might gain from posting it wouldn't, in any way, compensate for the harm confirming his world view could do. I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

P.s. I've started the open AAR with a pretty open post and invited PH to join in.

not a choice ? The guy saw you do something that mayhap he couldn't do and rather than start working on his abilities he takes the position that if he can't do it it must be witchcraft and anonymously reports to the inquisition. Malice, I say.

Frankly, I know hardly anyone who shares more freely his knowledge about how to play well than you do. Personally, while I am still struggling to implement those "simple basics", I believe that I owe a significant improvement of my understanding how to play these games to you (which is not to say that I may consider myself a good player), because you explain how you reach your conclusions. Accusing you of cheating in view of this makes me angry. Malice, I say.

If in fact he would assume that your conclusions cannot be reached on the basis of the facts available to you, why does he not go for the evident, constructive solution of asking for more details of your reasoning inside your AAR, which would lead to interesting discussion and insight for everyone ? He does not want to learn, he just wants an easy and convenient explanation for your success. Malice, I say.

Just my 2cts.

Well, I suppose that, for me, I meet people every day who make connections which, to them, are logical, which aren't based in reality. So, for me, if I view something in that way then I can accept it and move on.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Of course I'm no saint. That's the position I arrived at after several days of severe annoyance [8D]

Also, taking this farther will, IMO, merely provide him more "proof" that fit his biases. Best not to get involved in that. Right now I amn't annoyed, am happy to continue with an open AAR and am feeling positive about continuing the game ( when for the last week I really wasn't looking forward to it ). That's enough for me. I don't think confronting him will be helpful, let's just move on.

Before that though I'd really like to express my personal appreciation for the people who posted to this AAR expressing support for the AAR etc.

Of course I wasn't encouraging anybody to start a kick-fest. And I respect your decision.

I guess that's just because you lack the sufficient number of (scientifically/medically unexplainable) miracles [8D]

witpqs,

Agreed. Sorry if it seemed like I was implying you were...

I think everyone here who has posted reasonably has been very supportive and correct.

Gees, guys can someone tell me when the first time PH confirmed his current invasion targets in his AAR? DON'T confirm whether or not it is Korea. Right now I think it must either be Korea or Kyushu. The leaks make me think Korea but I am still concerned about Kyushu.
Panzerjaeger Hortlund did indeed strongly hint on December 2nd at 6:15 PM what his invasion target would be. He openly stated his target on December 9th, at 4:11 PM.

Hey (quickly and furtively looking behind him) I thought I raised the nature of miracles in another AAR. Stop stealing my ideas.

I have severe doubts that the basis for the injunctive relief voiced above is sound. If the nature of miracles in connection to sainthood (which was the starting point for my comment and induced by the patron-not-saint of this thread) was in fact your idea, that would make you a dead pope. I doubt that this is what you are.

In addition, ideas as such and specifically such ideas as the one described above are really difficult to protect in IP law, none of the established proprietary rights which might form the basis for an injunctive relief covers them.

Well, I asked the person who initially raised concerns about the "hinty" questions in the other thread and it turns out it was the same person whom made those posts who made the PM to PH breaching FOW.

So, good news: there's only one bad apple. He was responsible for all the FOW breaches in this game.
