Axis bomb airfield lose more fighters than in raid

I have had an airfield bombed near Leningrad.

The Axis have lost a lot more fighters than were listed as escort.

I attach a screenie and a save.

This can't be WAD surely.

The AI keeps on bombing the same airfield I don't know why cos I always savage the raid.

mmh FW 190F is a fighter Bomber and the G1 too. Are in the fighter Bomber role ?

Yes, I think the problem is that lost FB performing bombing attack shown as fighters in losses report.

That is correct. I noticed the same thing early in my campaign. 109-E4/B & 110 C-4/Bs set to bomber show as bombers on the top line, but fighters on the loss line.
