Noob axis vs Noob soviet.

Post by bloomstombs2 »

Hey guys Im thinking about playing vs human oponent, do you think the axis are at a huge disadvantage in the hands of a noob (knows the rules somewhat), and the soviets would also be a noob(same).

Probably, the Axis player must get the most out of his army in the early stages.  By the time winter rolls around the soviet player will have a better understanding of how to maneuver his forces and will probably punish you more than you did him.  Just my opinion.

At least play Typhoon a couple of times to get experience of all 4 weather conditions, and see what soviet blizzard attacks are like before going for "the Big One".

It's only a Game

+1

If you play only 1 scenario as the German, I think you get the most mileage out of this one. The Germans have to pocket well early and also deal with all the weather issues.

What I was getting at is, should I give the germans a morale advantage or whatnot? We have done a few single player missions, and have a general idea, but I still consider us both noobs. I would be playing russia and I have slightly more experience than him.

Their moral starts the game very high as it is, so it really doesn't help, although it might make the Axis minors more effective.

If you are looking to give the Germans a boost, the biggest is probably to bump the logistics up a notch.

Agreed.  Logistics and transportation will help the axis more.
For my first game, I used 110 for Admin, Logistics, and transport.  I think it's a suitable beginner's handicap when you're slightly above hi in familiarity, and are playing Soviets.
