New admin powers!

Post by MarshallEllis »

Hey guys:

I wanted to post a quick update and let you know what we are doing...

I am creating a new patch (1.08.05) which will have several fixes as well as many more admin powers for PBEM. This will include the power to:

Change diplomacy between any 2 nations (Including conquering minors, creating freestates).
Adding manpower (You can already add pp and money)
Moving units (Woo hoo!)
Editing units (Changing factor levels)
Moving units off the board.
Creating garrisons (For minor and majors)

I am mainly doing this because I simply cannot keep up with volume of change requests coming which are due to bugs happening and causing countries to be conquered or units to retreat to the wrong area, etc. I want to ask for your patience as I get this done and we release this hotfix! My hope is that you guys can use this as opposed to having to wait on me to move units for you THEN I can move on to 1.09 / Classic scenario and perhaps IP play which is already 6 months behind my plan.

FGA(Frequently Given Answers):

No, I don't have an ETA yet. Much testing lies ahead.
No, I am will NOT be doing any more simultaneous game additions.
Yes, I plan to do IP at this point.
No, I will not go away or "quit you" LOL ... What movie?
Yes, I'm certain that 1.08.05 will have a few bugs LOL!

Anyway, just a little update...

Thank you

Pretty smart move Marshall. Now you can be more free to concentrate on fixing the big issues...

This sounds awesome. Should help hosts fix most problems and in different campaigns(1792, 1740 etc) help to allow rules such as 1/2 naval losses. [&o]

This would probably eliminate the need for reinforcements in the Third party Combat as well wouldnt it, if the GM can move units etc I mean

Yes, I plan to do IP at this point.

HOURRA, HOURRA, HOURRA

Does the classic play will include the correct peace rule? (total conquest and unit withdrawal through 3 month limited access).

Best regards

The ability to do all this will solve almost all major problems with a good GM. Also, it would allow those who want to do advanced naval combat to play with that rule I think. Would take a little GM work but I think it could be done.
