Tyderios

Post by Abraxis »

That majestic purple gas found in ice planets!

I was just wondering, often I'll have Tyderios as a high priority resource in my expansion planner, along with Jakanta Ivory, also on ice planets, typically I'll use the planer to have them build a mining station there.

However, Tyderios being a gas, does this mean The only way to properly mine an ice planet is to create a Gas/Regular mine?

Whenever I queue construction ships to do it from the expansion planer they seem to build a regular mine, even if Tyderios is the highest priority, so I'm not sure if I should be intervening here or not.

Yes Abraxis, build a gas mining station. [:)]

I've seen mining stations on ice planets having both gas and other resources in their storage. It might be that ice planets can be mined with either of the extractors. Can't say for sure if this is correct but it should be easy to test out.

If you don't mind microing a bit, just design custom mining station with both extractor. Shouldn't be hard or tiresome.

no, there are three types of resources and two types of stations (gas and regular)
if you check the design on them you see that both have their respective gas and regular extractor but also both have the luxury extractor

Ah yes, completely forgot that the luxury extractor was on every mining station. My bad.

I just put a gas mining component on a version of my mining stations and build these exclusively at ice planets with tyderios.

I apologize. I just saw J HG T's response.

The ivory is covered by the Luxury Resource extractor on the gas mining station.
