Minor issue: SB bomber name

I noticed that the fast soviet bomber designed by Tupolev is styled SB-2 in WitE. Actually, its true name was simply SB. The SB-2 misnomer arose from the incorrect reading (in the west) of the full designation including number and type of motors. For example, the SB version mounting two M-100A engines was designed SB 2M-100A, but the 2 has nothing to do with the plane's name, it's only the number of engines.

Yes and no. This is the same as "Bf" vs "Me". Some soviet official documents are using SB-2 as notation of SB with M103A, aka SB bis 3 which was build in 1939 in big series. So I think both are correct.

Btw the name which never used by Soviets was "IL-2M3"

Didn't know that SB 2 was used as an alternate denomination for the SB bis.

As for Soviet manual nomenclature, I soon discovered that most of the commonly found names used in wargames (at least up to a few years ago) had nothing to do with what one can find in an official publications, especially regarding AFVs, fow which the usual NKO approach was: a tank is a tank is a tank!
