Amphib assaults

I tried this as the Russian and it doesn't seem to work. I can land in any Russian controlled coastal hex, but can't land in any Axis controlled coastal hex. I have plenty of shipping available, but all Axis controlled hexes remain red and the number track stops right before the coast hex.

Bump. I have read the manual on this as well and found nothing that I was doing wrong. This is also an issue in one of the AAR's.  That the player can't get it to work either and seems to pretty much have the same issue I have as well.

You can pick any campaign scenario and let it run a turn or two to unfreeze units depending on what you pick (what I did with the 42 and 43 games) and then try it.

You need amphib points, not shipping. What is the weather? Can you attach the save file?

Clear weather in July. This is the 42 campaign with both sides as humans and me hitting end turn 3 times in order to get the unit to unfreeze. Amphib shipping is 3300 and the unit (brigade) is under 1k in size. I have checked a couple of the scenarios and it is the same thing for all of them in that you can't do a amphib.

Thanks, we've duplicated this and it's on the bug list. Has anyone ever been able to do an amphib? We know we did in testing at one point.

been trying to do amph for a long while-figured it was on my end...btw can the germans do amph?  There is nothing definitive in the rules saying yea or nay?

They can do it only in the Baltic, I believe... Or is it the Black Sea?

No German amphib. Gary reports that he has fixed the soviet amphib today. Hopefully this fix will work and it will get into the next beta release.

At the end of page 196 of the manual, "In addition, the Soviet player can conduct amphibious landings...". And a little below (page 197), "The Soviet player will also accumulate amphibious points..." Perhaps the word "ONLY" in some place would have made the point more evident.
