Hello people! I just found this great website and forum, however I have been into war games for many many years. I have played Steel Panthers I, II, and III for many years. And now I have downloaded the one available on Matrix Games.

Now I see people ask for opponents to play online. How is this done? I would love to play someone online. I do other gaming online but never knew I could do Steel Panthers. And I just downloaded the one they offer here 2 days ago. So how do I join or challenge or do something? Someone please help me.

Go to the combat net site and hang around. Some players (at least 2) will be there 22 Nov evening time (say 2000 hours) Eastern time.

If I see you there, I will try to help.

No, it's my bag. I was being stupid. Something I have won prizes for. I know that there is no way I could go online and ask a Ukrainian for help. I found a nice site with some scale topo maps that are close enough to be useable in SP:WaW but I gave up when I saw the names of the little villages. Didn't have a clue on how to translate those. And I think I sent you a private message over the Forum, so you might want to make sure your Forum profile has the correct E-Mail address, so it can tell you when you get private messages. Hello again! I checked my private messages and I checked my e-mail address that I have entered here in my user profile. Everything is correct, but I do not have any messages from you. I dont know what happend.

I do. You have to enable(allow) matrix to send you an E-Mail telling you when you have a private message. You have to check a box in your 'user profile' section. I should have asked you that first off.

I dont see how that matters. The message would still be left in the box. Anyways...why are we debating this. Can you offer to help me again please? Or should I erm....I dunno try something else.

Ehmm.. Tomanbeg, if you send him a pm he will see it as soon as he gets here, no matter if he checked the "allow send e-mail" box or not. He just won't know about it until he enters the forum pages.
