All targets for our 1st War Phase offensive have falls in our hands. The material cost for these was too low how preplanned. Imperial Army have launched a massive struggle to put Chinese under their knees. With fives armies fighting hard to close the China incident, our forces are awaiting enemy offensives at Burmese border or Souther Perimeter in the Pacific Ocean Areas.

Imperial Japanese army is responsible to keep out the enemy from our S.R.A. With great success any enemy counterstrike have been avoided in Northern Australia, with all those bases have been destroyed and put under periodical air reconoissance. In the Burma/Indian Border the monssoon avoid our operations and all forces have been ordered to build up fortifications works. 1st Armoured Division is near to reach Burma and join with XV Army like General Reserve in this theatre.

For the other hand, IMPERIAL JAPANESE NAVY has the responsible to keep out enemy from any base to be useful for enemy jumpings across our lines. Any breaks in our perimeter will be inmediately counterstrike with all available Forces.

In the meeting, orders for massive movement of ships and troops will be scheduled to all commands. 2nd Area Army in Southern Area will take 14th and 09th Infantry Divisions (IJA Crack Divisions) and put under Amphibious Readiness Condition. Air supperiority fighters (KI-44IIa will be available in three weeks) will be put under 5th Air Division HQ to cooperate with 11st Air Flotilla for our success in this area.

Orders will be ready to be accomplished in less than 20 days. Root of sin will be erradicated in the blow. If any of you are not ready to accomplish with your duty, Supreme War Council will be glad to know you have join with Yasukuni spirits.

Day D have been promise to HIS HIGHNESS, THE EMPEROR, for September 1st, 1942.

Just looking at the clues in Fletcher's previous post my guess is a counterstrike against the recent Allied gains in the Santa Cruz Islands.

Well nobody here is thinking about this, of course. We are only reading.....we can´t take the rifle, we are civilians[:'(]

Two things:

1.- I´m lurking the forums and I´ve concluded that ground attack with aircraft planes is suicide, we will sink ships but is not worth paying the price.

2.- It is a wonderful idea on time between the Japanese supremacy and the awakening of the Allies "bring the Kitchen sink"into China, instead of waiting to see where the attack comes.
There are high quality Japanese ground troops and What is the better way to use it? Exactly, against other ground troops.
Chinese troops (bandits[:D]) are a headache for the Imperium.......Go for them & send all to hell!

Greetings.

hello Igel,

Thanks for your post! .. For sure, they will be sent to Hell !!.. and Chiang will be sent to Tokyo to be judged by war crimes against the Empire!.
About general strategy, my main target at this stage is sprint on China to gain as much ground as possible to close the frontlines and get readiness conditions for a general offensive aiming Chungking..... If Chungking falls in my hands, the British Empire and Soviet evils will paid their bills for supporting chinese bandits!

Best wishes,

For the other hand, many reconoissance flights have been reported over Merauke and Horn Island. Is it a target for americans or is it a deception plan ?.

TO: GEN. HAJIME SUGIYAMA, IJA GENERAL STAFF CHIEF. IGHQ. TOKYO
SUBJECT: XVI ARMY OFFENSIVE
DATE: AUGUST 7TH, 1942

Lt Gen Immamura, XVI Army C-in-C announces another storm over Tuyun city. 38th and 2nd Infantry division´s have stormed the enemy base with the support of AFV´s from 2nd and 8th Tank Regiments. 3 chinese corps and 2 exhausted chinese divisions have held the ground with 1.458 chinese casualties vs 889 IJA men lost. Tomorrow our forces will storm for a new attempt to capture the enemy city.

In the North, Sian is near to falls, with heavy chinese losses in our heavy bombardment at south front (more than 100 casualties reported), and heavy losses after more than 300 sorties from IJAAF air assets over enemy ground units. The enemy must be exhausted and poorly supplied.
