Quick Winter Question on SWAMPS

Post by Q-Ball »

I read that movement through swamps is easier in the Blizzard. Makes sense, they are frozen.

Haven't seen anything, though, on how they are in COMBAT during the Blizzard. Are they still uber-forts during the Blizzard, or something less? Rivers are meaningless, same with Swamps?

They are not super protective during the blizzard, and those mountains you are wanting will not provide enough protection come the blizzard. I managed to hold my line there (barely) but all div located along that front have 6000 troops in them. With a whopping 3CV in them.

But swamps are still strong in the winter. They have that super modifier right now. Same for the mountains.

Pray Beta 3 comes out before you reach Dec so you can be protected from the 2 worst bugs. Start looking for 2-4 pop towns and if you can find a couple of them spaced out, that is where you anchor your line.

Hedgehog behind your front with regiments entrenching in those towns too - when you get pushed back you have fall back points.
