Well! How is the new update?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Well! How is the new update?

Just trying to gauge some thoughts on the new update!

Is the update all of what you wished for and expected along this long road to an excellent game?

You better watch out,
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Iraq, and i have seen
Things are not what they seem.

Many of the changes will only be seen in the long term - for example, the impact of the morale and experience changes will only be seen when the Axis come out the other side of the blizzard, hopefully fitter and stronger than we have seen heretofore.

It may also be a while before we see how much the swamp defences have softened and how much pressure can be applied to Leningrad.
It's only a Game

Righto!

It really does show the difference between this game, and others. Most patches these days repair the obvious, the aesthetics- but this one helps the mechanics.

Nice...
And most of all in 2011- it takes time- its not immediate- there is something old world about that.

cheers.

I can see where you're coming from here...

How about- An already excellent game on the long road to perfection?

Personally I've yet to break the shell on this new updated version, but I am looking forward to sitting down with a beer or two and knocking some holes through Soviet lines when time permits.

I can't drink while playing this [:(]; too much for my sodden brain. I do drink beer after I email my turn....[:)]

The more you drink though, the more daring are the Panzer commanders!
