PZB has been heavily reconning PH at a cost of many flying boats - I used that againbsrt him by forming lots of small TF's with 1 or 2 cruiesers and trailed my modern BB's by him a few times so basically he knows (or thinks I have lots of Carriers at Pearl in fact I have 2 CVE's only and a few Land based Sqns....)

2 choices 1. my diversion worked and I can land and get ashore get a couple of AF's up and running and I am in and my LBA can start to grind him down.

or

2. the mother of all carrier battles is about to happen and then we will see how my Hellcats perform....

I have a full Infantry Corps at Darwin ready for phase 2 ther amphibs will unload then load up I Amphib Corps at Darwin to exploit forward.
The next few days and weeks are going to be very very bloody.

If you recall the CVE's sailors called me the butcher in the last game because I took enormous casualties in that class of ship......

Guess what its time to go into the lions den once again.....

To supply darwin you need to keep a draw line from tennant creek up to darwin. First draw a lot of supply to the base south of tennant creek which is connected to the railway by setting required supply to the max. Then set the supply in this base back to normal and set it in tennant creek to the max. After the supply is in tennant creek set the required supply at daly waters to the max and set it to normal in tennant creek. Proceed that way up to darwin and it is no problem to draw a few 100k supply there.

Never the less your assault looks impressive and good luck :)

That was how to do it pre patch 2 it is not nearly as effective any more I need to supply it by sea which is why I have lost about 10AK's resupplying Darwin

Post by Andy Mac »

PZB if he hasnt spotted me today will do so tomorrow and I suspect he knopws summit is up given how quickly the turns have been getting back to him today :)

10th Air Force supported by 221, 223 and 231 RAF Groups are hitting Magwe tomorrow
5th Air Force units have now forwat deployed to Darwin and Port Hedland ready to secure non carrier led air superiority

The gamble is on I am committed.

The 1st wave is 50,000 men of the US XIV Corps to stiffen the green National Guartd units I have attached the 7th Australian Div just in case....

The map was a tad ambiguous - are you land where the two arrows point or are those the sides of an arrow enclosing a broad area of bases you are attacking?

Deliberate given what happened in Nemo's AAR I am being a little more cautious than normal.

I have a landing site in mind (several actually) with different TF's and Corps prepped for different sites as my intel was less complete than I would have liked as to defences.

I have a preferred landing site but I need to wait and see if PZB has pushed 2 Divs onto that base I will need to change diredction - c 4 Divs per Corps combat loaded cannot be surte of taking 2 japanese ones on dodgy jungle with lvl 4 or 5 forts at least not quickly
