Combat Summary and Air Units

In my current PBEM game on the latest patch (playing as Soviets), the combat summary window (shown when you click on a battle from the previous turn to see details) always shows 0 planes being involved in combat for either side. I find it hard to believe that this is the case for every battle along the front. Anyone else see this?
