But, if I can give a bit of friendly advice, the only case when Allies should risk KB defences with just two fighter squadrons is trying to get dive bombers/torpedo bombers/skipbombers to Japanese ships... because this is the only case when the payoff might just be big enough.

And while I'm here, the current list of top Japanese aces. I have a feeling, though, that their scores don't look at all impessive, compared to the Allies' best. Alot of carrier pilots here - they usually fought at favorable odds for most of this war, only once used to challenge CAP over a major Allied base.

yes, this is what the sbd/p40 where set to do but lack of experience caused them to separate on the way to the fight. Maybe better luck later.

900 pilots might be close to the truth, actually... if we take all categories of losses into account. But Andamans will be yet another example of ahistorical willingness to accept losses leading to victory[8D].

Besides, as long as this

Two turns ago the Great IJA 15 division death star crossed the river 3 hexes SE of Kwieyang...... and launched a shock attack w/depicted results against the Central reserve.

Seemingly unknown to FatR a 400 AV force was moving east into Kweiling to block the Death star resupply effort.

Further to the west one armored div ran into 600AV blocking the path for a supporting breakout from the mountians. Seems the 5 division force has been split in half w/ 2 divisions on the burma road returning to Lashio. All along this path are chinese units waiting to cut supply.

 26Jan43 allied fighters on loan to the CATF caught 2 sqns of unescorted Hellens over Chungking. All other IJAAF effort in chiana theatre was made w/ night bombing attacks on
Chungking in effort to shut the AF.

An artillery recon at kweiling showed the following results. Seems the closest reinforcement is on the move to the west from the rail line to changsha and will have to fight thru my remiants to get into Kweiling. This turn no ground attacks were launched by IJA on the map.
