2.1 -- I just loaded two Aussie units from Truk!

Post by Toro »

PBEM game, I'm Japan, and I formed a TF in Truk to shuttle a unit down to... uh, someplace undisclosed... :D (spies may be watching). Anyway, when I checked the TF, four units had loaded, and two of them were Australian units.

Want me to send a save?

Is this a PBEM game that was started before 2.1 ? If so this is what was said in the info about the patch..
Saved Games: Campaigns that were started with version 2.0 or earlier can be played with version 2.10. There may be some bugs, however, caused by database changes and the first turn in version 2.10 may have some problems. The VCR replay for the first turn played in the new version may have errors. After that, everything should be ok.
So this may be why you are seeing Aussies at Truk..

Does that mean they'll go away after this turn is processed? Or should I shuttle them to a deserted island and watch them starve (now, that sounds like an idea... hummm...). :D

Note: this is after the replay, so I'm in my orders phase.

Thanks, Ross.

I cant tell you to starve my own country men. Even if they are byte size. ;) I don't know that they will go away unless you starve them off or send them to their deaths somewhere by sending them into combat.

Guess I better starve 'em. My luck (in this particular game), I'd drop them in Rabaul and they'd take the place!

Thanks.

I have found that if you select the ship they are on and select to view the troops when you exit the screen, they will be gone. I think this will only work when you first load troops. If you are already underway it may not work.

This is a known bug that only happens on rare occasions. They have not been able to track it down.

Its one of those bugs that we just can't seem to kill. It happens very rarely and this dosen't make it easy to replicate.
