RA, DaBabes, & How many CD's were shipped in Box version.

Post by ASLifer »

Hello Everyone:

Oops, sorry bout that. I hit the tab key instead of the enter key and posted my message before I was done. Thats what happens when you only got 8 fingers [:D] I was playing with the editor and was unsure how to change a few things, read game manual and it said editor manual was on CD-ROM disc. I put disc in, clicked to explore and it wasn't there. Just autorun setup info and WitPAE setup release. There was only 1 CD-ROM disc in box when I got it. Was there suppose to be another disc? I actually logged in last night to ask this question, saw the thread about RA scenario and was up till 5 am this morning reading all about it. Obviously I never got to ask my question. So I log in earlier this evening ( 6 ish) to ask question, and saw DaBabes and Da BabesLite, and have been reading about that since. I am playing around with the main campaigne, I saved it to slot 30, should I move it to a different slot? I would also like to know if troop totals on islands can be adjusted. I don't want to do anything radical, but I did want to increase some of the 6000 troop islands like wake to around 7000 - 8000. I had to do some serious troop adjusting to maintain troop totals on those islands so I didn't get hit with penalties for overstacking. I liked the What If idea of giving Japan a couple more CV's at start of War and I wanted to include the Montana Class BB to the game. I always wondered how 1 or 2 of those babys would have looked if they would have been completed. I've seen the artist impressions/designs, but seeing the actual ship (if built) would have been something. Anyway, I won't blabber on. I appreciate the help and response when able. I haven't played any PBEM games yet. I'm not sure I'd be much of a challenge, but if anyone wants to play I'd be willing to give it a shot.

David

The editor manual can be found in the installation directory, in the manuals sub directory.

Here is a picture.

Thanks for your quick response, did I forget to mention that my computer skills are seriously lacking? My bad... Can you give me a laymans explaination on how to get to those files? When I insert disc, do I go through the steps to install game to get to that point?

Lol, now thats funny, I didn't see picture and the rest of your post when I posted my response.. [:D]

Thanks
David

Don't go anywhere yet, I got a feeling I'm gonna still need some guidance.

Ding, Dang, Do... I feel like an idiot. I found them. I had to read what you said and look at your picture a few times and then it hit me.. I found a folder named Manuals .. Duh .. In WitPAE Folder.. I also have a widescreen monitor, I want to change the py and px values but I'll be damned if I can find any quick start folder in WitPAE Folder.. Any ideas??

Thanks
David

P.S. I have the paper game manual, and there's where I went wrong. The last sentence says "Please refer to the Editor Manual located on your CD-ROM disc for further information" so natually I kept sticking the disc in and trying to find it there. [:D]

OK, another picture for you:

Either of the files will work, depends on which style you like.

John 3rd:

Every bit of it.. [:D] I d/l'd scenario, will install tomorrow. Can you help with one other problem? I want to change py and px values for my widescreen monitor. It says " Right click to edit the Properties on the "Quick Start" shortcut to the game. (Located in your Start Menu Folder for War in the Pacific: Admirals Edition)." I'll be damned if I can find a Start Menu Folder for War in the Pacific: Admirals Edition. Could you point me in the right direction like Nomad did with a picture of where I'd find that folder? I would greatly appreciate it. [:)]

Thank You
David

John 3rd.. N/M [:)] I figured it out. [:D] Sometimes I overlook the obvious..
