navy frames r/d august 42:
Note I recently added R/D of the A6m5 to
R/D chart by converting one factory. My understanding is the A6M2 will auto convert to the m5 on 10/42. By adding this factory I hope to use it to help early arrival of the m8 version which has armor. this factory will be expanded to 30 on the m5 track then not allowed to start production, instead converting to m8 R/D.
Please correct me if my strategy is wrong.

Did you have any problems getting supply to GIFU??? I am only on turn 5 but someone had posted in another thread that they have gone 'a month' and no increase in supply there. If I don't get supply there soon my war machine is going to take a serious hit do to the lack of AC production.
I am also curious to how you started your game. How many times did you hit PH?
Playing Scen 2 vs Ai currently

I hit it twice. My second PH attack was sweet in both cases that I did it recently. Total of 5 BB's sank at Pearl after day 2 in one game and 6 BB's sank at PH in a second game! :-)

IIRC I split the KB. KB1 did a one day strike at Pearl then retreated. I positioned KB2 about 7 hexes west of manila and waited for the PI fleet to escape. I also did a port strike on manila w/ KB2 and all the nell/betties at formosa on the first turn.
Gifu-just increase your base supply to 7000 minimum which will pull 21000 to the hex.

Anti= kept increasing supply requests by about 5k. Lol
I also don't like splitting the KB early in the war near PH as the Americans can put the Yorktown and Enterprise together . 3 against 2 Carriers I don"t like those odds especially when they can put out so many surface fleets to dilute your attack against the Carriers. I split once and got hurt doing major damage to both his carriers. One of mine got badly damaged and effectively put out of commission for a few months to say nothing about most of the AC I lost from that Carrier and pilots. More importantly the pilots.

RE: Booty hauling

I have just opened the singers to Port Arthur road.  Seems like the resources are all going to singers.  I thought I had a handle on resource extraction but now again I feel I am losing a booty hauling battle....I have about 50 ships in reserve for amphib duty.

I may need to move all extraction to Port Arthur.

Just a few notes:
1. I think that you are overproducing A6M2 (312 in pool)[X(] Maybe you should halt or transfer production to newer fighters
2. Similarly, you should mothball the production lines for obsolete planes such as Ki-27 Nate, Ki-30 Ann, Ki-51 Sonia.
3. Replace production of Ki-48 Lily (weak bombload) for Ki-49 Helen and Ki-21 II Sally
4. Halt production of D3A1 Val until the upgrade to D3A2 Val due next month
5. You should consider lowering or temporarily halting production of B5N2 Kate

My experience is that the resources will flow to the port that

1. is biggest
2. that you are pulling from.

So, I think yes, you just need to start having ships load up resources at PA (not singers) and they should start flowing to PA in a few turns. Remember, this is not all RR, you have some road links that will slow this flow initially.

Thanks Sun and Pax.  I really like the payload of the Ki30(800kg).and planned to use it as an ASW strike platform..
The 3rd or 4th version of the ki48lilly is a 2e dive bomber and I wanted to see the effect in the field.
Thanks for the advice on the Kate and the Val.

What would happen if I put the 100 plane a6m2 factory into a6m5 r/d?

Or into a6m8 r/d?

You got to be kidding[X(] In stock it has a 250 kg bomb[8|] In this case, its worth building

Well, I would be very interested of the DB Lilly effect in the field.

I stand corrected, the ki30 carries a 250Kg bomb...still I like it as a good sub hunter, but I could be wrong.....maybe something better is available later.
