Sending Pilots to the pool

Is there any way to return excess pilots back to your pilot pool?

If not, there should be.

Some of my units have busloads of extra pilots foir various reasons. Some, like the Noumea P39 unit, always seems to get more pilots than it needs (like 55+), while others wind up with an excess through unit consolidation (disband/withdraw orders to combine understrength units into effective formations).. I have one Betty unit that has 13 planes and 75 experienced aircrew. That is a lot of extra mouths to feed.

It would be nice if the program would look at pilot totals and send some of the excess pilots back to the pilot pool for use in other squadrons. Say, any pilots in excess of the max possible squadron size for the unit. As it is now, I get rookies to fly planes in some units, while very experienced pilots are doing staff duty in other units, and will never get to fly. What are the odds of a pilot in a squadron that has 75 pilots and 13 Bettys getting to fly more than 1 mission a month. Notice I said fly, not survive. <g>
