There was absolutely nothing to watch last night.....so I ended up watching the world soccer report.

You Brit guys have a bewildering number of teams....with no less bewildering names. East Brom, East Ham, West Ham, Ham on Rye, Ham and Eggs, Blackpool, Blackburn, Slightburn, Notburnedatall, Wolves, Sheep, Wolvesinsheepsclothing, Sheepinwolvesclothing, Antsingeraffesclothing (sorry Eddie), Arsenal (gotta admit thats a very cool name), Scunthorpe (be careful how you pronounce that), Sheffield Wednesday (I think it sucks to only have your club once a week)......I could go on, but I've probably already offended every Brit within earshot. [:D]

I like the political insight that accompanies the comics from this site. I didn't appreciate the significance of the bridges and tunnel in the Dane psyche. Interesting insight into the minds of the Viking dudes.

Since I have been out for over a year I was wondering AE has changed much.

Is China still doomed in PBEM?
Are US subs any good prior to 43?
Is auto victory for Japan a real rist if the Allies play conservativly?

No.

Yes, they're good at getting dud hits.
Is auto victory for Japan a real rist if the Allies play conservativly?
IMO you have to play really badly as an Allied player to risk a Japanese auto victory.

Hiya Wile E. Welcome back. Brief answers:

Dunno. Maybe not as bad as it was. Issues with imbalances in artillery have been 'fixed' (or at least artillery's been nerfed), thus nullifying some of the uber-artillery effects.

Meh. They're still quite mediocre (at least the non-S boats). Efficacy of all submarines has diminished with introduction of new targetting code for subs attacking escorted TFs. The subs almost invariably target escorts first now (and miss), thus diminishing their efficacy substantially. Oh yeah, the torpedoes still blow chunks until 9/43.

The Allies would have to be VERY conservative for Japanese autovictory under scenario 1 terms and OOB. Slightly less so for a scenario 2 AV. Still almost impossible for a Japanese player to pull off against an even modestly experienced Allied player.

Not really.
No. They suck large, spherical appendages usually found on male mammals.
Depends. [;)]

I'll give the girl who draws these her due. She's definitely not squeamish about highlighting the odd bits of her own country. [:D]
