Earthquake - Christchurch New Zealand

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Earthquake - Christchurch New Zealand

Post by Crocky »

Hey Everyone

I know you may not know and this probably not where it goes but just to let you know

Christchurch New Zealand where I live suffered a major quake 7.1 Sept 4th 2010 we were lucky some major damage but no fatalities. it was 40km away and 10km deep

On Tuesday we got hit with a smaller quake 6.3 but only 10km away and very shallow 5km deep
this was a very nasty one 147 fatalities so far major damage to CBD are buildings have collapsed . My family are fine bu the house is badly damaged and we have no power or water etc .... NZ has declared a state of emergency and help has come from all over the world.

A huge thank to all countries that have help we have over 700 search and rescue guy combing collapsed buildings and are flat out trying to make sense of this mess .

Liquification is an amazing thing but theres 100s of thousands of tonnes silt inundating the eastern suburbs ... we will get there

Thanks for listening is appreciated I have power thru a generator at work so I can talk this way ... its going to many years fixing this but

Check on the web TVNZ or stuff.co.nz and you will see

Appreciate what you have hug your loved ones who knows what tommorrow will bring

Take care all Mike

I don't really know you, but am glad you are OK, and hope that your community will start to recover.

And am glad that you checked in as people were concerned about you, and asked that you check in at "The thread" or whataver in the WITP AE forums? Does that make any sense to you?

hang in there; you have lots of mates from across the ditch...
Molotov : This we did not deserve.

Foch : This is not peace. This is a 20 year armistice.

Crocky, those are some impressive photos!

How come so many churches were damaged?
Always thought these old churches were pretty solid, but guess not by the looks of it.

Glad to hear you're okay Crocky.
I've seen quite a few photo's and coverages on CNN. One of the most ... heartbreaking photos, I might say, is that of those two young kids, brother and sister I think, waiting for news of their mother buried beneath the rubble that once was the local tv station. Such a sad picture.
Here's the link, I don't think it's appropriate to post the picture here.
