Don't you guys have an old house to go haunt?

Speaking of which, here are three of my all-time favorite lines from televion shows/movies:

1. Jimmy Steward in It's a Wonderful Life (speaking to irritating young man): "Oh, why don't you go and annoy somebody else!"

2. Daisy Moses (Granny) on the Beverly Hillbillies, in reply to fuss-budget man who just said the air is full of minute particles and bacteria: "Where, I don't see any?"

3. Bob Hope (name of movie I forget) to man who says the streets are full of zombies, unthinking, crazed people who take orders and go about wreaking mayhem, not caring what they do or to who: "You mean like Democrats?"
"Rats set fire to Mr. Cooper’s store in Fort Valley. No damage done." Columbus (Ga) Enquirer-Sun, October 2, 1880.

My favorite scene from the Beverly Hillbillies was the one where the chauffeur for Jethro's little school buddy came to collect the kid and Granny wouldn't let him. He stated "I shall take that boy like Grant took Richmond!" and stromed in the front door. Of course - just like U S Grant - his frontal assault ended up with him on his arse...

You mean ... we should actually give some regard to these questions? [X(]

What an unusal concept. Will disregard until I've thought this over.

In the original movie the same name (the talkie anyway, maybe there was a silent version?), a man picks up the telephone and gets connected to the police "Hello, Police? I've just seen the invisible man!"

A hospital patient who suffers from chronic loose bowels soils his sheeets one time too many. Utterly disgusted, he leaps from his bed, pulls off the sheets, wads them up, and tosses them out his open window.

On a sidewalk outside the hospital, an extremely drunk man strolls along when the soiled bedding falls on him. Dismayed, he thrashes about wildly, tearing the sheets to shreds and making a great mess all over him and the sidewalk.

A police officer hurries up. "What's going on here!" he demands.

The drunk replies, "I'm not quite sure, officer, but I just beat the crap out of a ghost!"

So, are we still disregarding this thread? Seems a bit lively for a disregarded one. [8D]
