Cease Fire at Begin of game and old version ?

Post by demyansk »

I tried to play the wintergarten scenario for the relief of stalingrad and it started as a cease fire and I couldn't move my german units. I have no clue on how to change this to open fire. Plus, I wanted to keep my old version running but I messed up with the patch. How do I get the old version back up to run both versions?

Cease fire is only for the first turn because let players to select options for the scenario. Open fire starts in the second turn. Check scenario briefing

Sometimes the scenario designer will provide a theater option which one or both players can choose to get the fireworks going in a future turn.

I usually rename the old version something like "Opart300.3.4.201.exe" and rename the new version ( after I get it installed ) to "Opart300.3.4.202.exe " and create a shortcut to one or both of them on my desktop. Please define "messed up" with the patch. Is it not running correctly or something? To get the old version back I would guess you could just install it again. Usually the base files that come with the newer executable are mostly the same ones in both versions so I'm thinking you wouldn't mess any of them up doing that.

EDIT: Fulcrum90 and I were typing at the same time and his post was less verbose than mine. Either that or he types faster.
