Hotkey Request

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Hotkey Request

Post by roflbinflood »

Could we please get a hotkey for rail repair? Using the FBD's becomes really annoying after awhile and involves an unnecessarily large amount of clicking.

I realise that new features aren't propably on the priority list for the devs right now, but it just makes no sense that all the menial stuff has hotkeys and something that would really benefit from having one has been overlooked.

So please give the RR a hotkey and help save our fingers![:)]

I was just thinking that.

Maybe press SHIFT to repair rail on each damaged hex

Better than swinging over to the top right every time

No, he means when repairing damaged rail

First you move the FBD

Next you click repair rail RRV/RRC?

Then you move FBD

Then you swing back across and click RRV?

Then you move FBD...

and so on...

hotkeying space bar would be great to repair the damaged rail

or hold shift and select path of hexes to convert... with undo function

It would be fantastic that were including something like that. The system is really troublesome as it is now[:'(].

There should be a hotkey for people like me who always mess up conversion.  A "click the wrong path for RR conversion" or maybe "skip this turn because you are a moron and forgot to move the repair unit" hotkey.

That would really streamline my play!

Yeah, or maybe a popup when I hit F12 "Did you really mean to end your turn without repairing rail? You dumbass!".[:D]

You forgot to deselect the other units the FBD could be stacked with...
click-click-click-click-click-click-click.

"r" is for railroad, so maybe "shift-r" for repair?

I do like a quicker auto repair idea as you move. I brought that up over a year ago, fell through the cracks...What could hurt though is when you double up with 2 FBD units to get the 5 hex repair in 42, can they get that to work...Hum...Pavel?

I still want to be able to attack empty hexes to get a ZOC there...
