Surrender option?

I don't know if this is the right place for requests.
It would be good to have a surrender option to avoid wasting time once the game's won.One of my current pbem games was over on about turn 10 of 17, and my opponent has graciously kept sending turns despite the utter hopelessness of his situation presumably so as not to deny me the victory screen.Either that or he's in denial himself.[:D]
One of the problems at the moment is that VP's are not totalled for controlled victory locations until the scenario finishes.This means that although I control every victory location, the game still continues because I haven't acheived a 5 to 1 ratio in terms of Soviet units destroyed, and nor could I even when every one of them is gone.

Nice one.
Any thoughts on totting up VP's as you take control of them in scenarios?Even with a resign option you still rely on the goodwill of your opponent to not waste time when the game is lost.
