ONE count of vehicular assault? Sounds like someone needs to be taken out behind the woodshed...and not come back.

Methinks youve been out of CA too long. [:D]

anyone else have one of those bosses that does emails on sunday's so that when you get in on monday morning, you already have a steaming pile of cr*p to look over? [:(]

Had one in lizard land. Cant fault the guy, though. He buts his butt to get his stuff done. If he had to leave his family on a weekend to get his stuff done, who was I to complain about having stuff to do on monday morning.

Guys, I'm a Yankee. Got the t-shirt, birth certificate and the 00 social security number to prove it. [:D]
But I've also gone from many years in warm, temperate climates to cold , wet ones. [:(]
And the biggest problem for a Floridian in moving to "Rain city" is going from year round brightness to a place where people stare and wonder "what the heck is that big , bright thing in the sky?". [:D]

Even with all the time I spent in the Arctic circle, it still took ,a lot of getting used to. The Seattle area is an exciting, enjoyable area. I had a great couple of years there, and wouldn't mind going back for a while. But compared to the Canaveral area it is wet, dark and gloomy through a good deal of the year. It will take some time to get used to. [:)]

Steve,
How was your first Nebraska winter? Sometimes there's not much snow, but I will never forget the icy winds that freeze the snot right inside your nose. I never really experienced normal spring and fall until moving to Virginia.

A lot milder than I expected. Natives tell me that it was extremely mild than compared with last year. I didn't find the snow any worse than northern New England, but of course the winds here are pretty amazing, at any time of the year. Makes me wish there was a soaring club around here. Some days I honestly think you could do a ground launch![:D]

And of course cold combined with wind is just not very pleasant. But Nebraskans are such nice people , it's pretty easy to handle the winters. Why is it Miserable weather=nice people. Nice weather= , well , I'll just leave it there. [:D]

So when are you coming out this way again? And your still in Richmond aren't you? About a hour south of Alexandria/DC? [&:]

Fine, how do you explain NY? Miserable weather and the douchiest population in the western world outside of Paris. [:D]

Seattle actually gets traffic slowdowns in the fall, winter and spring when the sun is out... people gawking at the mountains.

Reportedly. there are more suglasses sold per capita in Seattle than anywhere else in the country. My explanation for that is that we keep losing our sunglasses in between the infrequent appearances of the sun.

"And your still in Richmond aren't you? About a hour south of Alexandria/DC?"

You drive too fast Steve... [:-] Richmond is @ 100 miles south of DC (I grew up in the Capital of the Confederacy).

Compared to the Northern middle states, NYC is in the garden spot. And they are the 2nd douchiest outside of Paris. Sorry. But you went from the worst to the second worse. [:D]

I always loved the "Seattlite" phrase for clear weather."The mountains out". [:D]

And yes , I do drive too fast. But I haven't had a speeding ticket in almost 20 years, so I can't be that bad. [:D]

Ahh... but you go the context wrong. The phrase is "The Mountain's out!" as in "THE Mountain is out" .... and we all know which mountain is THE Mountain, named for an otherwise obscure British admiral.
