ARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Post by Anzac »

I tried to post my AAR on my campaign on Tulagi just now and when I tried to submit it I was refused 'cos it had more than 8 images!

I had an included a link to my briefcase on my Yahoo page so that ppl could have a look at my battle. It took me half an hour to write out the report and to my dismay when I tried to go back on my browser the post was gone. Image

So I'm sorry to say that nobody will get to see it anymore. If anybody has any ideas as to why this happened please let me know.

ANZAC,
Did you use "img src=" or "a href=" tags? Just a hint, whenever I post something long or involved, I write in a text editor first, then cut and paste it to the board.

Another suggestion is just to put up a web page with your AAR on it. That's what I did when I decided to put graphics in my AAR's. Take a look at Bill's AAR Page if you haven't already. I'm an old usenet geek, so I didn't feel right posting images to the board.

Or, send it to Frank Donati and ask that it be posted in the Matrix Journal. Frank would be glad to get it for the Journal section. In fact we could all read it right there.

Just tell him I sent him your way, my friend. I hope you will do it.

And send it to Bryan Melvin of the Arsenal page too. We welcome such articles.

Thanks guys! You really know how to cheer up a fellah. Image

WB, I will do it again but I'll have to do it soon 'cos the ol' memory is failing from that campaign already! You know how it is eh mate? Image

This time I will do a draft copy first. I'm no first-class storyteller, but I can assure you you will enjoy it! Image

Looking forward to it.

One word of caution or explanation. Keep the screen shots separate. Just put in a note as to where they should go in the article. Also save them as jpg or gif files. Much smaller and easier to handle than bmp files.

Sounds great, Mate. I know I won't be disappointed...WB
