The constant wars with the Hogwarts alumni must be taking their toll.

Hmm..now that you mention it there are a number of interesting similarities between Voldemort and the Emperor Palpatine.

I think that must be the best sigline ever. Now I shall hunt through the vastness of the internets(TM) to come up with something clever and funny too.
The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close.
In its place we are entering a period of consequences..

"And the biggest problem for a Floridian in moving to "Rain city" is going from year round brightness to a place where people stare and wonder "what the heck is that big , bright thing in the sky?". "

Seattle actually gets traffic slowdowns in the fall, winter and spring when the sun is out... people gawking at the mountains.

Reportedly. there are more suglasses sold per capita in Seattle than anywhere else in the country. My explanation for that is that we keep losing our sunglasses in between the infrequent appearances of the sun.

"And your still in Richmond aren't you? About a hour south of Alexandria/DC?"

You drive too fast Steve... [:-] Richmond is @ 100 miles south of DC (I grew up in the Capital of the Confederacy).

I always loved the "Seattlite" phrase for clear weather."The mountains out". [:D]

And yes , I do drive too fast. But I haven't had a speeding ticket in almost 20 years, so I can't be that bad. [:D]

It took me a long time to recover from that respiratory infection the last time I was home. Haven't scheduled my next trip but it might be this summer sometime.

Yep, I'm still in Richmond, but a horrible experience with neighbors this winter so I am looking to buy a place and abandon the rental world. Richmond is an hour south of Alexandria in theory, but in theory only. See my sig line.

Oh yeah. Sorry to hear that, dude. All of us with young kids go through this on occasion. If I may offer a suggestion: perhaps you may want to lay off the lutefisk on the little dude? That stuff is an acquired taste.
