Thanks,
He is ok now, but we almost had to go into the hospital yesterday because of dehydration. Amazing how fast a small child can go from healty to super-sick (and then back to healthy again thank God).
The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close.
In its place we are entering a period of consequences..

Thinking about starting in on Ken Burns' Civil War series.  I haven't watched it in 7 or 8 years.  I may try to talk my son into watching with me.  [:)]
I don't much care for the US Civil War, Mike. Many reasons that I won't go into here. But I very much enjoyed this series, as did my wife. This was my first exposure to Shelby Foote and he converted both of us to the series. It's probably a good series to watch with a young man to expose him to the issue. [8D]

Alex watched the first episode with me last night. The first has all of the lead in to the war and not much "battle stuff" except Bull Run, so I wondered how engaged he would be. As it was ending I looked over at him. He was looking at the screen and nodding, then turned to me and said, "That was good!" [8D]

Hurricanes game tonight, so Episode 2 will probably be tomorrow night. [:D]

I got to meet Shelby Foote while passing on the street in Memphis in the mid 90's. He was out for an evening walk in cutoff shorts and a beat up white tee shirt. LOL I recognized him immediately. I said, "Hello Mr. Foote." He smiled and replied, "Hello there" and kept on his way. My walking companion at the time said I acted like I had just met Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. [:D]
