HQ squadrons and base forces

Post by Apathetic1 »

Do HQ squadrons (the ones that withdraw on July 1st 42) contribute to anything? Will the 49th HQ help the rest of the 49th FG and also does it help to keep the 49th Base Force associated with it as well?

Not as far as I know or have ever seen in the game or editor. The name is just the historical name.

I thought the HQ squadrons helped with replacements (as per pge 255 of the manual)- but re-reading it- I'm guessing the "HQ" it refers to is the LCU HQ that the air group is assigned to in the command structure.

Supplies will be expended at the HQ base and the unit will receive damaged planes from the pool.
