Can it really be sixty-one years since Pearl Harbor? Most of the men featured in UV, even the younger ones that survived the war, are now gone. Here's to you, guys. Here's to your uncommon valor.

Indeed. 1941 seems to be receding all too quickly into the realm of ancient history, especially for younger generations who may never have the opportunity to at least meet and talk to survivors who witnessed those days first-hand. But we must never allow those memories to collect dust. The sacrifices of those who served in no small degree made possible this world of ours, in which we are fortunate enough to enjoy pleasures both immeasurable (like freedom) and small (like UV).
