Play-by-mail games are games, of any type, played through postal mail or e-mail. One example, chess, has been played by mail for centuries (when played in this way, it is known as correspondence chess). ...

Play by e-mail.
Abbreviation: Play By Email, in which a wargame is played by sending moves through e-mail to a remote opponent.

There is always something to learn in life [:D]

The game looks great and I am sure that this thread will fill quickly. But guess most players (and me too) want to wait til first patch is ready and then need to some extend to get familiar with the game. We will meet soon here [;)]

So true, and as someone who just listened to a 41 lecture series on the history of the English language, I should be the last to spurn Varadarajan's offer of information. Keep it coming, V.

Are we ready for full PBEM committment?
Don't know if the release of the retail patch (not BETA) will demand a restart.

Hopefully not.

BTW there is a possibilty to continue from old save game with newest patch, but it is very risky and we cannot guarantee game stability.

I'm waiting for the release of the Rising Sun Mod before I commit to a PBEM.
