Christmas War 2001 PBEM

Post by sapper32 »

Hey guys im just starting this PBEM against my opponent Steve its a hypothetical scenario which depicts the Israeli's me entering the west bank to establish Israeli control and the Arab nations of Syria,Jordan,Lebanon and the Palestinians attempts to prevent this and throw the Israeli's out of the west bank for good,Its 60 turns each turn is 6 hours so 15 days,5km a hex my Israelis will move first i intend to stay on the defensive in the Golan and move swiftly into the west bank before the Jordanians can react.
Below is the starting map setup showing positions at morning on the 15th December 2001

The battle of Medjerda is almost forgotten, but was fought against highly disciplined German troops and blasted a route straight to Tunis it was a perfect infiltration battle and should be remembered as the best fought British battle of the war.

Israeli Turn 12 PM Day Three

Northern Command units continue to hold in the Golan and take a heavy toll on Syrian forces,Central Command units are crossing into Jordan and have destroyed large numbers of the Jordanian army,I expect my forces to swing north and press the Syrian's and what remains of the Jordanian army.

Israeli Turn 14 Day 4

My opponent and i have decided to end this scenario as there is only going to be one outcome an Israeli victory,The Syrians have hit a brick wall in the Golan and have exhausted themselves and are no longer an offensive force the Jordanians are beaten ansd there capital city is ready to fall,Most of the IAF was destroyed in the early turns but my Israeli artillery took a heavy toll on the Arab forces which enabled me to hold the Syrians in the Golan with just enough forces while i sent all other IDF bde's to the Jordanian front and overpower them.
Thanks to my opponent for the game and looking forward to our next PBEM Nghia Lo 1951.

Ian
