Stopped! The high water mark of the attack on Voin broke the first line of the defending Russians. A counter attack by KVs and T-34 stopped the Germans in their tracks.

How about some gameplay footage? I think we all would like to see the game in action, not just the still images from (near)ground perspective.

Yes, I would second that.  Also, how about an AAR between two human players like they got going over at BF.

Thewood and I are starting a random game. He chose summer 44 so that should fit what you guys are looking for.

I think he said it was all armor.

If you're interested as soon as I get my act together we could start a thread for the results here.

*If* we're interested?
Would a bunch of gamers, who are panting with anticipation for this games release, like an AAR with screenshots?

can you give us a close-up of that road where it crosses that stream. I like the trees shadows, deffinately adds to the looks.

Here it is.

I used the same water for the entire stream. I could and at some point if I get everything else caught up will make that section of the stream more translucent.

All that would require to give it a different texture would be another color on the map. Then I could use a different texture as each color may have a texture assigned to it. Once the new color was assigned, then the new texture could be applied and the 'depth' of the crossing shown to be different from the water depth on both sides of the crossing.

Not really complicated. It's just I have to bring the rest of my scenarios to a more finished result and that is totally chrome for that map which will more than likely never see a unit over there during the battle. That spot on the map is literally and figuratively a back water spot.

Good Hunting.

That's pretty crummy, if you ask me. I can't see a single fish or crawdad in that there stream. [;)]

Water is my least accomplished feat. There are lots of things that can be done with water textures including making them shallow, deep, dark and light. For this map the water is a non issue. As such I'm not going to put a lot of time into getting it where it is the center piece of the map.

It's the drive on Berlin. It's hunting in the outskirts of the city of Muncheberg.

There are cats around here but we brought BIG GUNS.

This was to be one of the demo scenarios. That's changed so here are some screen shots of what is going to be a normal scenario.

This is a 500 meter map. As you can see I've already taken losses to the cats and their cubs.

Good Hunting.

In most games a King Tiger is invincible to a front armour hit. It was nice to see that I could take one out from the front. Of course, the Soviets don't have much that will take a KT out from the front but still. It was nice to see it happen.

I was expecting to have to dig these out. I was told that this particular KT was already waiting for the crew to bail. I had damaged the gun, immobilized it and killed the commander. He was just sitting there.

But when the hit says destroyed, they didn't abandon it.

Senior Lieutenant Turbin's platoon will get full credit for that kill.
