Both CC v5.60.01b & v5.60.51beta patches are incompatible with Windows 7 64-bit

I first updated to final release patch v5.60.01b. That caused numerous error messages as CC launched. The game would crash after I clicked PLAY. I tried XP SP3 compatibility. That did not cure CC.
I next downloaded patch v5.60.51beta. That patch cured all the error messages from the previous patch. However, it caused a new error message: DEVICE LOST. Even with that message, CC seemed to launch. I did not play a game though. I next ran CC in troubleshoot compatibility mode. WIN7 set the game to XP SP2 compatibility. That change cured the DEVICE LOST error message.
CC now launches without an error message and appears to run fine. I have not yet had the time to play a battle through.
