we are now up to the 17 Feb, too busy to fully catch up...

Subs
We have gotten some transports around the west coast and on the way to Hawaii.

They hit a CA going into Balikpapan... its light-moderate damage.

Burma
I have airlifted in about half a regiment, some air support and supplies to Akyab. Supply is now unloading from a convoy under a heavy effort of local CAP, and LRCAP from three sources... lets see how they hold up...

They tried hitting Mandalay with B17D and AVG... they largely lost.

More AA, engineers and BF but most importantly supply has arrived in Burma.

Rangoon has good levels of supply and more units and supply is on the way in. Have around 200 fighters and 100 Netties in the area... the later will strike in a couple of days....

The Chinese have been detected, they did not get into Burma and are in defensive positions at the start of the mountains... I'll just watch for the time being...

We destroyed the Burma Bn around Chiang Mai and the rail line is secure... and our Thais receieved some experiance.

The last elements of the Burmese from Rangoon tried to break through but were soundly beaten and fled back to the swamp near Rangoon.

Some other units are caught near Lashio... they will be rounded up soon.

I'm about to try the first spoiling attack on Kohima, intel suggest just a engineer unit...Netties will bomb and the Paras will drop... hopefully he is focused against Akyab...

They have 14 units at Chittagong, and I think the border area is lightly held...

We land at take Palembang almost undamaged thankfully... Lots of air bombardment for almost two weeks helped... maybe!

We are about to land in Nth Sumatra and at Makassar.

We have landed at Ambon, but are finding it tough going.

Dili is about to hit Level 3 airfield...

Philippines
After spending days clearing mines we have almost fully loaded the units at Bataan for Rabaul.

Pacific
We were hit badly by B17E from Townsville at PM... not much we can do, but it is a long flight and they have already lost an aircraft... and while they are hitting PM we are free elsewhere.

We are fighting at Lae and Buna.

Tulagi is now level 2 airfield and is a nice forward base.

KB is rearmed and refueled and is off hunting bear...

We need more fuel, it is now starting to flow in quantity... but is restricting us at the moment.

China
Mostly quiet, except where I've attacked to the western route to Sian up the dirt road... the main aim is to badly damage units, so I have a secure flank, and I can then turn back to the main effort (where I'm building force). At the moment he is at the end of a longish supply line from Sian... I have built Nanyang and have plenty of supply... I'm growing stronger, he weaker, and once the flanks are secure I'll again concentrate... and attack.

Around Kukong in the south I'm waiting for another 300AV to turn up...

Increased Helen production to around 60 a month.

We have lots of resources in the home islands, and our longer supply convoys are starting to move... but Oil/fuel is the biggest problem.

Burma 20 Feb 1942

Akyab is going OK so far... we don't expect it to last but we want them to attack over our bases, before we launch on theirs... which is coming soon.

We will try to get an engineer unit in there... but we don't want to comit too much.

Otherwise we are begining to move into garrisons, supply is now reasonable and more forces are on the way. Shipping out resources at the moment... gotta make the conquest pay!

Toungoo will eventually be a major base and defensive location, one of the few in difficult terrain.

SWPAC 20 Feb 1942

Horn Island and Buna are the last two places to take here.

Tulagi is turning into a useful location, has 150 Eng working away on the airfield at the moment in support of operations in the area. They hav discovered this and have a numbers of subs operating in the area... bastards!

Rabaul is 5 Port, 6 air and has stacks of supply and resonable fuel... combat troops in the area are at a premium.

Darwin is now isolated from the east. Dili is a level 3 airfield and so we can attack under air cover when ever we wish...

20 Feb 1942 China

In the far north we have p[rogressed deep into the desert... mainly totry and force them to garrison the depth...

The thrust line on Sian has moved to the west. We are basically beating up on units and making them defend further spread out... The intent is to then concentrate in the middle again on Sian and punch through with air support...

They look to be advancing on Ichang, we are moving some forces to possibly help out. Ichang is level 3 forts going to 4, and we will apply some airpoer to help out the defenders.

In the south you can see the long line of troops they have spread out. 300 av are on route to help create a hole...

Basically though we are bogged down!

Our air campaign has launched and on the 23rd and 24th we trashed Chittagong, but they had already moved the aircraft out. Another turn or two and we can switch elsewhere.

We now have almost 8k in supplies at Akyab and have flown in most of an engineer regiment. There are 40+ Oscar. So we are now fairly secure for the moment...

Elsewhere we are cleaning up the remaining pockets of resistance, Troops and supply is flowing in nicely.

Mini KB is off Noumea supporting the landings there.

Auckland has over 21 units, mostly American, and we are looking for the convoy's that bought them in...

We intend isolating Fiji, then landing with 5 divs in about 3 weeks time... There is at least a US regiment at Suva.

the attack up the secondary road has gone very well, we are now starting to pull back.

The have fallen back a hex on the Sian road.

They have launched an atack on Ichange... it was close on the first attack (I'm not sure why we are lossing on prep, we are at 100%), the second was because a unit crossed the river. The forts should be level 2 next turn... it looks like supply is the issue for them, we are attacking with max aircraft support to the garrison... I doubt it will hold.

We sweep Chittagong, but the bombers don't fly. This is very annoying and the baseis recovering... I want to neutralise Chittagong so we can move deeper.

5k in supply at Akyab has vanished... this is both good and bad news... it means the supply has gone back to Burma somewhere, which means it can also come back overland... I increase the supply demand to draw it back.

Akyab is now a level 2 fort.

Otherwise quiet. Staring to consolodate airbases, Mandalay should hit 3 next turn.

The invasion force for Kendari slips anchor. They have a number of subs in the Balikpapan-Tarakan slot... we are trying to prosecute them while carefully routing them through shallow water.

They sneak in a reoccupy Samarinda, a unit is going back to clear it.

Here is China, initially we thrust on the centre (1), then we moved to the east against Ankang (2), largely to trash corps and protect our flank, now on the 3rd Axis we have broken through... although moving forces there will be an issue...

In the north you can see we are concentrating as well...

Around Ichang though they have amassed a large Army, trying to concentrate force at Hankow now to stop it...

Akyab is lightly damaged, but I doubt they will come back next turn. If they co-ord a naval bombard and the air attack then things will get interesting... Tony's not so keen on holding Akyab, I prefer to do it as while they focus on here we are building the rest of Burma nicely and getting supply in andresources out of Rangoon without being hassled. Akyag is at long range for their fighters, as long as we can restrict the Naval bombardments we will be ok. Port Blair is the key to that I think...

DEI
South Sumatra is now clear, moving up an airbase to Oosthaven to support fighters, and will soon bring all the Sallys to Palembang. We hit Bandoang and cause light damage.

The invasion force for Java begins loading.

Stacks of fuel being shipped around, to Singapore, and from their to Truk to support the operations in the Pacific.

Koepang falls. Will rest the units a few days then move to Northern Australia. Zero's and Sallys from Dili (lvl 3, soon to be 4 afld) begin to attack Darwin.

Bit late in posting these, but here is the start of March Air production. I don't think things are too bad, need more medium bombers though, can't wait for the Helens to come online...

They bombard Akyab doing minor damage. We are flying in more engineers though as we aren't clearing the damage.

We hit Chittagong from the air, it continues to be supressed.

The 45 strong Daitai of Zero are now based at Oosthaven and are sweeping the skies over Java. The sallies from Palembang are begining to soften up Bandoang.

We port attack at Sorebaya, hitting the sub in port there.
