Hey Steve-O, it seems that applying the DB changes to an existing game caused all the problems with submarines.  It was recommended not to apply the changes to an ongoing game.  Using them for new games works fine.   [:)]

OK, that's 3 "aye's."  Someone maybe send a telegram to Mars.  [:D]

What, the US subs's get worse? [:D] Besides, I can't been seen agreeing with youse guys. That would destroy the curmagen image that I've worked so hard to develop. [:D] So how about 2 ayes and a Nolo contendre? Or a "present". [:D] Or a "I'll take the 5th! (or quart, or 750 ml)![:D]

I have no real objections, but I can't say I'm in favor. That would be too agreeable.[:D]

I'm up for using the "i" patch, without the database changes.  It's the last official patch and there seem to be no problems with it if you don't elect to update the database when starting up after installation.

That's 2 of 4 votes in favor.  Nobody install anything yet until we are all in agreement and can coordinate the timing please. [8D]

Just out of curiosity , why no data bank changes? I've had the "I" patch installed for quite some time (with DB upgrades). If you guys want to upgrade , I suppose I could install a fifth version of the game on my machine.
Hey, look at the bright side. If you upgrade to the "i" patch, then you can delete the 'g' patched version from your computer and have a 'net' gain of zero versions on your computer. [;)]

Besides, I think that only Mynok and I will have to make the call regarding the new version's use of the database changes. I think that when we decline to use the DBase additions in the new patch, you guys get the game that we send you. Least wise, that's how I think it's done. When I upgraded my 1x1 PBEM with USSHenrico, he didn't get a prompt on anything when he loaded the new version's turn from me.

Why, killing Japs, of course.  [:D]

OK, so let's do this in the next turn cycle:

1.  Space Chicken #1 gets the turn from Steve (hopefully later this evening) and runs the turn resolution.
2.  Space Chicken #1 sends the Combat Replay to SC #2 and the Allies.
3.  SC #1 upgrades to the "i" patch level and then enters orders.
4.  SC #2 watches the replay (if desired) before upgrading, then applies the patch and enters orders, ends turn as normal.
5.  Allied players watch the replay (if desired) before upgrading, then apply the patch and enter orders normally.

It is in a state of temporary availability. Have another backup/restore round to go in order to get this puppy setup with a mirrored boot drive thanks to the ignorance of Microslut's backup software. [8|]

But yes, I'm back for now. I'll do that work next weekend most likely.

Probably best that you be Space Chicken #1 for this turn, CB.

Allied dogs-combat report and replay now available.

Please patch to 1106i version after reviewing these files. The next file (game save) will be under 1106i.

Cheers.

I've found it in the members section under downloads for AE.  I'm currently downloading it and will upload it to dropbox when I get it.  Steve wanted it, too.  [:)]

Brother Mynok, see if you can see the patch file in our Roosters v Robins dropbox folder.  I put it there, but it seemed to sync instantly.  I'm suspicious.....
