Yet in the game, the industrial output of the Allies is the same from start to finish. This creates an overabundance of supplies in the first part of the game and should be addressed.

The obvious way to solve this issue would be tinkering with Allied production and to damage Allied factories at the start (I think several forum members have had this idea at more or less the same time).

Can't the issue with too much early Allied supply be addressed by drastically reducing native supply generation and industry in the US, and simply using convoys to provide the desired amount of supply with the desired timing?

I think Treespider nailed the US economy model about perfectly. You should check out the discussion of his mod

Thank you John.

You are very welcome, for what it's worth. I'm not really a production tweaker, so a lot of my suggestions are second hand.

The resource thing makes a lot of sense to me, and it's simple and straightforward (where have I heard that one before?), but it preferentially impacts Japan because of the economy model. One thing I might do to put a corresponding burden on the Allies is to do that Spidey/LST/vettim Allied damage thing. That seems to make some nice sense too. Have to get with them for details 'cause I'm not a production tweaker and don't gots a clue. Ciao.
