Update issue

Every time I try and check for updates, the updater fails with the message "Error: Update information for Distant Worlds could not be downloaded. Please contact Matrix Games for help".

My Internet connection is working correctly and the problem has persisted for the last two or three weeks.

I'm not sure what information you need me to send to assist you -please let me know.

the official patch was released yesterday you can always download it from the distant worlds product page and patch manually

sometimes auto updaters just dont work

I had the same problem with another game

I too had it and I've donwloaded it from the site. Mind you, this time it was the first time I had a problem with the DW updater.

I've tried the product downloads page at http://www.matrixgames.com/products/379/downloads/ but this just seems to have the 1.0.6.0 patch.

Is this the latest version, or am I looking in the wrong place?

Thats the product page for DW vanilla, you need the ROTS page here

Ignore the armada 2526 tag I think it's an advert on there

I think it should be the other way around and a DW tag appear in an Armada link, more appropiate that way [:)]
